The sport industry’s status as a powerful platform for impact and sustainability was underscored at the 2025 Global Sustainability Awards, part of Sustainability Live 2025, one of the most influential gatherings for global leaders driving environmental and social progress.
At this year’s Awards, Think Beyond – the strategic consultancy empowering sport and entertainment organisations to be more sustainable, impactful, and valuable – was recognised as Consultancy of the Year, surpassing heavyweight contenders such as EY Consulting, EcoEngineers, Make UK and other globally recognised organisations.
Think Beyond was commended for innovations that include sport’s first shared carbon playbook and award-winning impact strategies, proving how purpose-driven sustainability can deliver credibility, measurable emissions reductions, and commercial growth.
The win for Think Beyond represents the growing movement toward sport being recognised not merely as entertainment but as a genuine platform for optimism and positive change. A growing number of rights holders, teams, leagues, brands and consultancies are supporting sports transition.
Think Beyond partners such as Liverpool FC, World Athletics, and the Premier League, alongside brands such as Rexona and Subway, are playing a significant role, championing outstanding work in sustainability and social impact.
Commenting on the success, Think Beyond’s Managing Partner, Sam Shave, said: “These honours are testament to the sector-leading work that our teams consistently produce on behalf of our pioneering partners, collectively we continue to push the boundaries for driving sustainability and societal change through sport. Winning Consultancy of the Year, a category open to all industries, demonstrates how sport is now spearheading the global drive for more sustainable, impactful, and purposeful practices.”
Ingrid Beutler named Executive of the Year
Think Beyond also celebrated the individual success of Ingrid Beutler, the company’s Senior Partner – Europe and Governance, who was recognised for pioneering sustainability in global sport.
Ingrid, who joined Think Beyond in 2024 to spearhead the company’s European expansion from its Swiss office, has worked for more than 20 years in international sport, guiding international law and regulatory frameworks, policy and strategy to address core sustainability challenges.
Through leadership roles at the UN, IOC, SportAccord and now Think Beyond, Beutler has embedded ESG into governance, human rights, and integrity frameworks, helping organisations to maximise positive impact and minimise harm.

Ingrid’s influence spans ISO standards, safe sport reforms and systemic change, helping major organisations integrate sustainability with credibility and impact. Since joining Think Beyond, Beutler has led major projects with the European Club Association, 11th Hour Racing, FIS, and Sports for Nature.
“The talent and expertise in our business is at the forefront of the industry and there is no better example than Ingrid. We are incredibly proud to see her receive this richly-deserved recognition on such a big stage for the sustainability sector,” commented Shave.
“This award is a huge honour and one I’m very proud to receive,” said Ingrid. “This individual success would not be possible without the incredible support from the Think Beyond team, so this recognition is truly shared with the entire business. We have an amazing group of specialists globally who bring a unique lens on the role of sport to drive innovative sustainability initiatives and positive social change.”
