Ingrid has worked for over 20 years in international sport, guiding international law and regulatory frameworks, policy and strategy to address sustainability challenges across the environmental, social and governance dimensions. A recognised expert in addressing governance - ethics, integrity and human rights - issues in sport through strong leadership, robust regulatory, operational and disciplinary frameworks, she works with those organisations and individuals committed to doing good for our Earth and its people. She has advised the world's largest sports federations, multiple governmental entities, international and community-based organisations in ensuring the maximisation of positive impact and minimisation of harm.
An expert in ISO 20121:2024 Sustainable Event Management Systems, she has worked with mega events over the decades in addressing integrity and sustainability related risks. She seeks to remain on the cutting edge of research and comprehension to subsequently define practical solutions, strategies, tools and programmes to address global challenges, using the power of sport.
With a masters in international law (Geneva) and bachelor degrees in law, geography and political science (Canterbury, New Zealand), her former roles include Integrity Manager, International Olympic Committee (IOC); Director, Social Responsibility and Integrity, General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF); and Head of the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP).
Co-founder of the non-profit Sustainable Mountain Alliance (SMA), Ingrid is a passionate mountain athlete and former elite road cyclist.
