Ellen Salter

Ellen joined Think Beyond in February 2023 and is passionate about the cultural and market influence of sport to drive a socially inclusive transition to a more sustainable future for all. She is an environmental sustainability specialist with multidisciplinary experience across the sports, engineering and management consulting sectors. Ellen has been involved in establishing robust sustainability principles for sports organisations including environmental sustainability strategy development and carbon emissions baselining for NGBs.

Ellen has experience in environmental auditing and on-site operational improvement (including energy, water, waste and air quality auditing) for a number of major and minor infrastructure and development projects. Ellen studied Geography at the University of Nottingham and is a Chartered Environmentalist and Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Ellen is currently working across The Alliance project (the pilot cluster of NGBs with UK Sport) and World Sailing’s sustainability support. She is also managing Think Beyond’s long-term sustainability contract with SailGP.
